Why are the wood strips behind my Brandon home's drywall so thin?

They may be furring strips over block, a construction found in older homes around Brandon, Temple Terrace and Lutz. We don't treat those strips as full-depth studs. We inspect the backing and anchor into the masonry where that's the right call, instead of assuming a hollow-wall anchor has room to open.

Can a TV go on a screened Tampa lanai?

If anything isn't right after the job — even something small, like the TV sitting slightly off level — call us and we'll come back and fix it.
