A Chicago home can hide very different walls behind the same coat of paint: original plaster in a bungalow, metal studs in a condo. Tell us about your place and the screen you want to hang, and we'll plan the mount to fit. Our team arrives on time and leaves a neat installation, covered by a warranty of up to 3 years.

Mounting on Chicago walls

Many Chicago bungalows still have original plaster, which may sit over lath attached to studs. That finish tells you nothing about what will actually hold a TV, and a brick exterior is no guide to the interior wall either. So we check the mounting surface and the support behind it before choosing hardware, whether your room has older plaster, newer drywall or exposed masonry.

On drywall without studs, we mount TVs up to 55 inches on metal snap-toggle anchors with a fixed mount; a tilting mount is fine for smaller screens. We skip full-motion arms in that setup because the leverage pulls on the drywall. Brick and concrete get masonry anchors, and the condition of the brick and mortar decides where they go. Tile we drill slowly and carefully. Wires go inside the wall on drywall; on brick or stone we fit a cord cover rather than cutting into the masonry.

TV mounting questions in Chicago

What if my River North condo has metal studs?

Mention it when you book and share your TV and bracket details. Metal studs call for a compatible mounting system; hardware made for wood isn't interchangeable. We assess the wall and the mount together, and a steel-stud kit meant for fixed or tilting brackets doesn't clear the way for a full-motion arm.

Does old plaster in a Chicago bungalow change the installation?

Yes. Plaster can cover lath and studs, so the surface alone doesn't tell us what's behind it. We check the wall before choosing how to fasten the mount. Our drywall snap-toggle method isn't a blanket answer for old plaster, so let us know about any cracked or loose areas before the visit.

What should I check with my Chicago condo management?

Ask about contractor paperwork, service-elevator access and allowed drilling hours for this visit, then pass those requirements to us before booking. Park Tower's published remodeling rules are one example of these restrictions, but every building sets its own conditions, and approval isn't automatic.

Yes, we install Samsung The Frame and set up its One Connect box. Share the model details and how the existing cables are connected so we can plan the layout. The bracket, the wall and the connections have to work together, so we confirm the flush fit once we've seen what's behind the screen.

Can you hide the TV wires?

Yes. On drywall we hide the cables inside the wall — neatly and safely, so you see only the TV. Where we can't go inside the wall — brick, concrete or exterior walls — we use a slim paintable cord cover that blends into the wall. We don't cut into brick or concrete just to hide a wire. Done our way, it still looks very clean.

How long does TV mounting take?

A standard mount on drywall takes about an hour for most TVs. Hiding the wires inside the wall, mounting on brick or concrete, a soundbar or a very large TV adds time — usually up to 2–3 hours in total. We don't rush the job to squeeze in more appointments, and we tell you the expected time before we start.

Do you offer same-day and weekend installation?
